We welcome exhibition proposals from visual artists, artist collectives, curators, and community collaborators interested in sharing their work with the 224 community. Whether you are proposing a group exhibition, large-scale creative project, or solo exhibition, we encourage submissions from artists whose work aligns with our commitment to creativity, community, and access.

When reviewing proposals, we consider:

• Artistic quality and clarity of vision

• The overall strength and cohesiveness of the proposed exhibition

• Suitability for one of our gallery spaces

• Opportunities for community engagement, learning, and dialogue

• Alignment with the values and mission of 224 EcoSpace

• Artist bio

• Current CV

• Current artist statement

• Details about your proposed exhibit

Proposals are reviewed on a rolling basis by the 224 team. Due to the volume of submissions we receive, it may take several months to receive a response. We appreciate your patience during the review process and will contact artists directly if we wish to move forward with a proposal. All exhibitions are subject to internal review and Program Director approval.

Selected exhibitions include:

• An opening reception with lite refreshments

• Promotion through 224's social media channels and newsletter

• To support our continued efforts to serve as a space for visual artists in need of venues to display their work, 224 EcoSpace retains a 25% commission on all exhibition sales. Artists receive the remaining 75% of sales proceeds at the conclusion of their exhibition.

• Artists selected for solo exhibitions will also be asked to participate in an artist talk, providing visitors with an opportunity to engage directly with the artist and their work.
